CRIME STOPPERS FUNDING

The reward money is funded by contributions and a special fee that Polk County judges can charge violators in Polk County. The Texas Legislature enacted a law that allows judges to collect a one time fee of up to $50 from people placed on probation. This money can be used by STATE CERTIFIED Crime Stoppers programs to pay rewards only.
